Had a good time talking touring, music, and as I call it, “the homemade hustle” w/ Vertual Vertigo live in studio at Scope Radio tonight on WNUR. They came through with a healthy posse full of talent. They ended up knocking out a little in-studio performance and some off the cuff vibes as well…Here are a couple of videos from the show.
Ezekiel 38 doing a live version of his new song “Air” in the interview room.
All in all…It was a good night in the WNUR studios. For more info about the show go HERE.
Oh…almost forgot. Here’s a pic I took in the live room here at the studio. Looks like they’re filming some “in the year 2000” type ish. (Mr. T Edition)
Word on the street….It’s cold as hell in Chicago today. To quote my homey B Vax, “Gotta love Chicago Winters where cuddling is at it’s maximum and gang-banging is at it’s minimum.” Stay warm out there y’all. Hopefully you’re lucky enough to have someone help you out with that.
Rewind to 2005…Me outside of the Pharoahe Monch show @ House Of Blues, handing out snippets cd’s of The Freshman Executive album. CoJack takes interest and grabs a cd. Hits me up on myspace about a spot to record. 6 years later my man has 2 official projects under his belt…and a couple of really well crafted videos directed by the talented Nick B. Keep it movin kid!!!
While I love working w/ other artists and making them sound their best…It feels good to work on my own music for a change. My mom used to sing this to me as a little kid so this song is truly near and dear to my heart. Kenny keys on the melodies. Super rough mix. Will keep you posted on the final version.
Just played a quick little show at The Hideout in Chicago. Cool little joint kinda off the beaten path, yet right around a lot of stuff. They have a couple big ass swordfish hanging on the wall…Check it out.
Snake Skin Tie.
Apparently, Yung Loyd is a regular patron as well….nice!
